Day 077: NASA Rockets and Pete the Cat
It’s only been two days of quarantine / no school. But I can’t shake this feeling that we’re in for so much more. I’m not gonna lie, it’s rather unsettling. But I’m doing the best I can. Orion has already asked me at least twice if he was “going to school tomorrow”. I’m not sure he quite grasps the fact they’re probably done with school for the remainder of the year. We were in school 5 days ago, but it somehow feels like months.
I’m still running by the seat of my pants. If you know me at all, you’re probably not the least bit surprised. But, we did manage to 1. Watch James Dean read us a Pete the Cat story on Instagram, 2. Watch Mo Willems talk about illustrating and writing a book, and then teaching us how to “doodle”, and 3. the boys did the second day of the Lego Challenge!
Of course the boys fought for nearly 15 minutes about “what Lego pieces are theirs”, and “who had what piece first”… in a bin of HUNDREDS of Legos. But, they completed the task. They even cleaned up all the pieces, AND put the bin back into their closet!
