Day 074: Happy Birthday to you!
NINE! My baby boy is NINE! On March 14, 2011 at 9:39PM, this boy made me a mama. Logan is such a unique kiddo. He is smart and perceptive beyond his years. He’s got a soft soul and a warm heart, with a little bit of a brick wall exterior. He’s a deep thinker who loves intently.
I love his love for baseball – and boy do I enjoy watching him play. I love his enjoyment in video games (even tho I can’t stand them) – he really bonds with daddy over games. I love how deeply he thinks about movie plots, and how quickly he catches symbolism, when I completely miss it.
You challenge me on the daily, but I am so glad you chose me to be your mama. <3
I try to take a yearly photo – even if it’s with my phone. But since starting the yearly challenge last year, I try to take a birthday portrait.
I had a session earlier in the day, and by the time I got home, and did bedtime, I was a little rushed for our photo session. But we did what we could! And besides being long overdue for a haircut, look at the smile on his face. He’d been talking about getting a “Lego set for my birthday” since CHRISTMAS!
And you know me and my obsession with b+w. I know he looks a little sad and cranky, but I just told him I was testing my light, so he wasn’t really “prepared”. He’s such a handsome guy, with the most beautiful blue eyes. I just can’t believe this is his last year in single digits!
