Day 054: When it's warm outside, we Play
Today was unseasonably warm. This seems to be the party line for Winter 2020. But it did give the older boys a chance to go outside and play, and of course get filthy dirty. They asked if they could eat their lunches outside on the steps. I obliged. “As long as you don’t leave your plates outside!” I said. And in a rare moment of no arguing or fighting, I was able to capture this.
Now, I know here it looks like Logan is trying to help Orion on the skateboard. But the truth is: Orion stole the skateboard, and Logan was trying to pull him off. It looks sweet though, right?! And please disregard our dirty back porch. When your husband is a contractor, and is almost always doing projects on your house, your back porch can get a little… cluttered.
I love these little moments. I’m getting better at seeing them, which means overall, I spend less time taking taking 6-10 shots, then I would if I tried to set something up, and find that perfect image.
If you’re a photographer, I cannot recommend this project more. It’s fantastic for daily growth. Even if you’re not a self-proclaimed photographer, get your phone out and take photos every day! At the end of the year, you’ll be able to fill an album with amazing photos of your everyday life. I absolutely LOVE looking back through the images I shot last year. 100% – do Project 365/366, in whatever way you can! You won’t regret it!
