Day 048: "Hey, Logan!"
What? Blue skies? No clouds? What day is it? What year is it? I can’t believe what I’m seeing! I love my hometown of Pittsburgh, PA. But it’s one of the cloudiest cities IN THE COUNTRY. It doesn’t bother me much, but boy do I love a good sunny day!
Since the weather was so nice, I decided I’d let the boys play at the park after school. I also, selfishly figured it would be a nice break from all of the indoor pictures I have accumulated so far this year.
“Hey, Logan!” I shouted, so he’d look my way. The light falling behind us, cast this great shadow of the chain link fence. I knew I’d get some great separation between him and the background since everyone else was quite far away. He looked for just a second, as he stood on first base, waiting for the next kid to kick the ball.
I know this shot doesn’t look like anything particularly special. There aren’t any cool camera tricks, or sun flares, but I love it.
Logan and I butt heads a lot. It’s probably because we have very similar personalities. I’m trying to learn how to be a better mom for him. He deserves that. <3
