Day 028: LATE NIGHT FREE-FOR-ALL!
You know what happens when it’s 8PM, and you haven’t taken a photo for your Project 366? You let your kids jump on the bed, and you practice your wedding reception / party shots!
You know, having three kiddos – boys at that – and trying to run a small business, and really just trying to survive at life, is tough! I don’t often let the kids just have fun because I know I’ll likely be the one who cleans up the mess.
But Project 366 helps me with that, even if it’s just a little bit. I tend to loosen up, just a bit, so I can capture a shot I have in my mind. And, hopefully, the boys will remember that I wasn’t always so rigid. Maybe they’ll remember that I let them jump up and down on the beds while I took their photos like the paparazzi!
I’m not the perfect mom. And I will certainly never pretend to be. But I know in 5, or 10 years, I’m truly going to miss these moments. And nothing makes my heart happier than knowing I captured these memories. Even if it was only a 10 minute free-for-all session, it was 10 minutes of fun with my older boys recorded forever. I hope they remember these fun times. And if they don’t, I’ll have photographic proof that I indeed let them jump on the beds, every once in a while!
