Day 024: "Is it baseball season yet?"
I really enjoy capturing moments as they happen in our home. But, it’s winter in Pittsburgh, and you know what? It’s frickin’ dark. And gloomy. And cold! So, it’s been a little tougher for me getting started this year.
I find that I truly enjoy those natural moments, but I also love a curated portrait.
I had the idea to set Orion up by the window to eat some pickles, as he normally does. Logan of course wanted in on the picture-taking action, but doesn’t really enjoy pickles! So, I asked him to grab his baseball hat, and glove. I’d have him sit in front of the window, looking out “as if he was waiting for baseball season to begin.”
When he started tossing the ball in the air, I knew we were going to have some pretty cool portraits!
I am really loving the dramatic window light in these. And, bonus, my cheap Hobby Lobby bench photographed BEAUTIFULLY!
Long story short, I’m loving the vibe of these curated portraits. Plus, I always end up getting a few extra fun shots that I wasn’t expecting!
