Day 044: Symmetrical Block Building
You know how it goes: clean room > rid room of old toys > kids find old toys you have intentions of selling > claim their long lost love for said toy.
Orion found a big box of wooden blocks. Now, with a house of three boys, I have to watch what toys I bring in. Because ultimately, it ends up being a weapon. I know what you’re thinking: “well, Megan, maybe if you were a better at your job, they wouldn’t be beating each other with blocks!” And you’re probably right. But still…
Orion has shown us an aptitude for building. Starting a few years ago, he starting taking games we’d received for Christmas out of the boxes, and putting them together, w/o looking at any instructions. Simple builds, but still! He also enjoys puzzles.
But every time he’s built anything with blocks, it’s always been symmetrical! I find that really interesting!
PS: Yes, that’s Logan and Orion fighting on the couch. PPS: Yes, he’s shirtless again. It’s winter in Pittsburgh. I know it hasn’t been the coldest winter, but I’m sitting here in a sweater with knee-high wool socks. But, whatever.
