Day 029: Phone FlashLight

Some days I take a hundred photos. Other days, I take maybe 5. Or, I take 60, and only like 5. Orion is my curious guy. He LOVES to hang out in the kitchen while I’m cooking dinner. Well, now that I think about it, he could quite possibly just be there for the scraps, but still. He’s always there!

While dinner was cooking, I decided to try a few shots with my phone flashlight – just to see what it would look like.

I thought the results were pretty cool, actually! A little tough to hold the light, and the camera, but we did alright!

Before dinner, however, I went to get the boys from school, and decided to let them play at the park a little. I brought my camera hoping to snap a few pictures. But Maddox just wanted me to hold him… the entire time. I did manage a shot of him crying at my feet to pick him up – which I did do by the way!

Not the best day photo-wise. But I got a little something, and that’s what matters. Project 366 gives me the space to try new things and learn new techniques. It challenges me to find pockets of light during a dark and cloudy winter. It forces me to really start taking stock in the everyday things. While they may not seem like much today, I know I’ll look back and be happy I captured something.
